We have recieved many queries about annual leave entitlements following implementation of the 37.5 hour week.
Tax Allowance for PNA members.
A Career Break may be granted to permanent employees for the following reasons:
The Parental Leave Act also makes provision for force majeure leave.
An employee is entitled to leave with pay, i.e. force majeure leave, where, owing to an injury to or an illness of a family member, the immediate presence of the employee is required at the place where the family member is.
Special leave with pay, up to a maximum of three days, may be allowed on the death of an immediate relative or in exceptional circumstances, on the death of a more distant relative.
The granting of Parental leave is governed by the Parental Leave (Amendment) Act 2006.
