A Number of queries have been received by the PNA and the INO Head Offices recently regarding payment of a Supplementary Pension. This information sheet has been prepared jointly by the PNA and INO for the information of members.
Labour Court Backs PNA on Qualification Allowance
In 1999 the Labour Court recommended payment of the specialist Qualification Allowance (€2938 p.a.) to Nurses who had a relevant skills based Qualification which they were using in the course of their work. The Court said the Course must be at Category II or equivalent as determined by An Bord Altranais.
Having regard to all the recent speculation in the press about Premium Pay I am pleased to note that payment of premiums at the appropriate rates remains in place for all current and future staff assigned to Premium times
