Labour Court Recommendation LCR 21900/21901 provided for the implementation of the Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) element of the 2017 Workplace Relations Commission agreement on recruitment and retention.
I wish to advise that with effect from the 1st January 2018, the following formula will apply in all HSE and Section 38 agencies to ensure that a standardised approach for the calculation of holiday premium pay is being applied throughout the health sector:
As part of the March 2017 agreement between Nursing/Midwifery Unions and the HSE, it has now been agreed to extend this scheme, known as the “Bring them Home” campaign beyond the U.K, to encompass nurses returning and taking up employment in the Irish Public Health Service from any overseas location.
In light of the recent disruption caused by Storm Ophelia, health service employees who were unable to attend their place of work on Monday 16th October for safety reasons and those who were required to leave their work premises early will be paid for the hours which they were scheduled to work.
