PSYCHIATRIC NURSES ASSOCIATION of Ireland

PNALogo2017200

12 th July 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Following intensive discussions with senior officials from the HSE in relation to members not making themselves available to work beyond their contracted hours, the PNA have agreed to suspend their current instruction on the basis that progress has been made in respect on the following issues:

•  There has been significant progress in relation to proceeding with the recruitment of Mental Health Nursing Approved Posts ;

•  In addition the PNA have advised the Employer that we will be making a submission in relation to the applicability of an existing allowance to a wider cohort of Mental Health Nurses;

•  There will be direct engagement with the Employer early next week, to conclude on Wednesday 17th July 2019, to discuss the above.

An Officer Board meeting has been convened for Thursday the 18th of July to review our position at that time.

We will continue to update you as matters arise.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

 peterhughessig
