Members will note the announcement by the HSE 29/11/’11 that expenses owing to staff which were due for payment in December will not now be paid until January ‘AT THE EARLIEST’.
The PNA has rejected the HSEs position and have sought an immediate withdrawal of this notification and confirmation that they will pay the expenses owing on time and without any delay.
Des Kavanagh states ‘Many members reported for work this am and refused to use their cars pending resolution of this dispute. This is an understandable response. However, I am asking all members to continue providing services to patients while we are seeking discussions with the HSE and at the same time organising our Ballot for Industrial Action. We cannot tolerate this type of treatment of our members, we will not tolerate it but our response will be organised, calculated and focussed on maximising pressure on HSE decision-makers.’
